I mainly used Evernote to organize my completed unit plan in edc 430. Before this class, I had an account on my phone, which I used for organizational tasks, like grocery shopping, to do lists, etc. I created separate notebooks for each of my placements so that I can have MS activities and HS activities in different places. I have around 100 notes in my personal notebooks. I really like the feature that allows you to take pictures as a note, which I used to upload some of my resources for my unit plan. I also like that you can share and edit notebooks as a group. Right now the science teachers in my HS placement use a giant shared file on google drive to share resources, but I find this file disorganized because it's not really arranged by any sort of topic. I think I prefer the flexibility of Evernote in terms of how notes can be organized and grouped. The only issue I had with Evernote was that there seemed to be syncing issues between the notes from my iPad to my PC. In the future, I will probably use Evernote similar to how we organized our unit plans, so that I do not have to create binders and binders of lesson plans. I will also consider sharing these notebooks with my CTs so that we can collaborate on planning without having to be in the same room.
